Forthcoming Events 2008

Would you like me to appear at your event?

Call or E mail me if you would like me to come to your club or show and do practical demonstrations with dogs from the audience, plus a fun and exciting talk on everything from critical periods to the origin of the dog, how dogs learn and how to understand canine body language. I will stop dogs who I have never met before from jumping up, will get them walking to heel, sit, stay, stop barking, lunging, and some aggressive behaviour's.

If it is a large show I will need a hands free microphone and PA system, if it is a lecture indoors or at a large function hall I have my own wireless free PA system.

Client Comments From Some of My Events

Not since the late great John Fisher came and spoke to us many years ago have we enjoyed and been so enthused by such an excellent talk and practical demonstration. The response and feedback was terrific.

Stan,
just a short note to say thanks for a very enjoyable day at Outwood last Sunday.
I found it very useful and I learnt a lot. I know need to start putting it into practice.

Thanks again for a great talk and I shall be looking out for the forthcoming DVD.
Regards,

Tim Lavender

Hi Stan

Thank you for a very interesting, informative and entertaining talk.
I attended with my mother and we came away very enthused and excited, ready
to take the training of our animals to another level.  It's really refreshing
to meet a professional trainer and behaviourist who really really loves dogs!

Thank you once again - I shall be keeping an eye on your website to see when
you are next in the area.

Regards
Gennie Chapman

Dear Mr Rawlinson

Very many thanks indeed for such a great day at Outwood today.  It was hugely entertaining and educational.  Your combination of humour and common sense was terrific.  You clearly enjoy your subject and have learned through experience and study.  I shall be checking your website for events so that I can come along again with my husband instead of my mum.

Mum enjoyed the day immensely and is hoping to impart some of what she learned to her reluctant husband!  Like you say, the biggest part is teaching the owners.  Dave can't wait - he's as enthusiastic as I am.  We're on our third rescue dog: the first was a scruffy terrier cross, the second was a bright as a button collie cross, this third one is a terrier beagle cross (bright, placid and timid rolled into one) - having researched on the net, we've come to the conclusion she is a close match to what the Americans call a Rat Terrier.

Thanks again for a jam-packed day - I'm still buzzing.

Regards

Janet Maxwell

I attended Stans lecture and demonstration with my daughter, I have to admit we were a bit sceptical, but decided to give it a go. It was one of the most informative and entertaining things I have ever been to, my daughter and I were so impressed with Stan's presentation, he's a wonderful speaker and acheived some remarkable results very quickly on the dogs which people brought along.

If you get the chance to see Stan I would highly recommend it, I can't wait for his book to be published.

Dear Stan,

Thank you for your time last Wednesday to answer my questions. The information was very useful. I will order the jingler & CD as advised.

I also have to comment on the excellant evening my partner,Susan, and I had at your evening in Huntingdon. The presentation was excellant with so much information we could both relate to. If only we had this information earlier with regard to castration.

I have set your web site into my favourites! I also will look out for further talks in order we may be free to attend.

Thank you for your help.

Surrey Country Fair and Ploughing Match

September 24th, 2006

This very special show takes place at Loseley Park, between Godalming and Guildford, at the end of Surrey Farm and Village Week. With a lovely atmosphere, it draws crowds of around 10,000 for a fantastic country day out for the whole family.

I will be there doing two talks and practical demonstrations, taking dogs from the audience in the main arena. The first demonstration will be 10.20 am then 1.25pm both lasting about 40 minutes.

For people who love machinery, the modern and vintage tractors are magnetic. But for horse lovers and wallowers in nostalgia for the slower pace of yesteryear, the magnificent teams of heavy horses are a powerful attraction.

For dog lovers, this show is a must. This year the English National Sheepdog Association is running One Man and His Dog style sheepdog trials, working flocks of sheep on the sloping fields in front of Loseley - a wonderful spectacle to watch.  There will also be Terrier racing, gun dog training, obedience coaching and agility competitions, so that dogs big and small go centre stage.

For youngsters who love action, the show provides fantastic introductions to country pursuits, from fly fishing to tractor driving, 4x4 handling to laser and clay shooting. There is also a tractor pull. Surrey produce is featured at the show. There is a Farmers Market and there are excellent shopping opportunities for arts and crafts. Fancy keeping chickens? Then don’t miss the poultry display and sale, new for this year.

Countryside organisations such as Business Link Surrey, the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group, Surrey Wildlife Trust, the Surrey Hills Partnership and the Surrey Rural Stress Initiative will be represented at the show. This is a great day out for all the family so don't miss it

Tickets at the gates are £7 for adults, £5 for OAP's and £4 for children. Under eights are free and there is free parking. Advance tickets are available from the Surrey County Agricultural Society office, 8 Birtley Courtyard, Bramley, GU5 0LA, telephone no: 01483 890810 Tickets will be available from July 2006.
